But if we live in the present

The present is Spot’d Pig
Not a business, a credential, or even a dream
It is simply time with friends, it is a gift of creativity
It is failure and it is success

It’s often goofy and ridiculous wrapped in a fine ribbon of procrastination
It’s over a meal or brewed coffee
It’s on the front porch or a haven from the spring rain

It is now, It is today
We are BACK and ready to create
We are growing, we are expanding

The Initial Meeting

So the journey begins...

Welcome to Melanie Beagley's and Lauren Jones's initial Spot'd Pig meeting. A masterpiece in the works, a road less traveled (at least for the two of us), an adventure on the horizon and so... here we are approaching the semi-unknown. 

The winter in Utah as you can imagine can drive anyone, even the least talented arts-women to attempt craft-time, to explore the inner workings of their creative touch; attempting the most basic stitch at the crochet, to the tedious mending of the worn out, ragged, coffee stained t-shirt, to approaching the earring and all its diversity. Beads: big round spotted turquoise, brass, silver, feather no feather? The decisions go on and on but all that wintertime invoked something in the two semi-envisioned women; they had a special touch. They could put together the square bead with the red round semi-smaller bead and receive copious amounts of praise. And it hit them, lets go public!!!!!

Spot'd Pig by design is an inspired earring/head clips idea that continued to grow by consistent praise and interest. The interest sparked demand, demand fired up production, hence created Spot'd Pig. We are two women who have a few laughs and many cackles as we come up with different designs and many screw-ups!! But we enjoy what we do and love spreading the tears and sweat of our work with those who can appreciate the small things in life: head clips to spice up the hair and a dangling earring to jewel up the lobe!
